These sizes are aimed at experienced skydivers who want to fly small, high performance mains, but also want the security of an appropriately sized reserve in a compatible package. Until now, skydivers often compromised on their reserve selection if they wanted a container to fit the smallest mains. This resulted in many highly experienced jumpers being forced to reduce their margin of safety in the name of high performance. No longer. The Mirage G3 M1Z and M3X allow heavier jumpers to select small mains and appropriate reserve, yet maintain the narrow, low profile look and compatibility that has made the G3 a standout. The M1Z holds a PD143/Raven-150 reserve, and up to a 107 9-cell or 90 cross-braced main. The M3X holds a PD160/Raven-181 reserve, and up to a 120 9-cell or 109 cross-braced main. See our sizing chart for further detail. Mirage Systems feels these new sizes address a significant shortcoming in the market. No other container manufacturer has addressed this issue. We hope people will take advantage of this opportunity to equip themselves with safer, more appropriate and compatible equipment. Both the M1Z and M3X are the same width as the M2/M4 size, but shorter and thinner. They are available with the standard variety of G3 options, at the normal price of a Mirage G3.
