Used Pilot parachutes

There is no 20 year life cycle for pilot or skydivers parachutes -there is none !

A life limit from the manufacturer is the first 120 days, after that the Parachute Rigger that services & repacks the parachute is now the responsibility for the next 120 day life. In other words...it is up to the Parachute Rigger to inspect, test if necessary, and re-certify airworthy and pack the parachute (just like your annual inspection by your A&P mechanic for your aircraft).

NO WHERE is there anything in writing, studies, manufacture's instructions or FAA Regulations about life limits, except for:

The GQ Security 350 parachute manufactured in Great Brittan, it states in their manual a service life for the canopy and harness of 15 years from the date of manufacture.

We can fix it in house and fix it fast with 24 hour turnarounds. Inspection and Repacks can be turned around the same day, or fly or drive in and we'll pack your chute while you wait.

1st: You have ten days from the day you receive it to make your decision. Equipment returned after the ten day grace time period will not be refunded.

2nd: Credit Card purchase please add 3% for U.S. Cards, 6% for Corporate & Foreign Credit Cards.

3rd: If you do return the equipment, you will be refunded the purchase price LESS the following items: - The cost of shipping & any difference between cash and credit price, And the cost of any rigging services or improvements that you requested or have done on the equipment.

The Parachute Shop takes trades and purchases good serviceable emergency parachutes for our pilots list. This used parachute market is very unpredictable. Parachutes come and go all the time.
